This really sparks my imagination. A castle on a hill. In its day, meant to ward off people attacking on foot. I have got to travel more!

Yes, I imagine most castles have had nasty incidents of siege/war. They needed to be high up so that they could throw burning oil onto the invaders!
Hmmm...why do I just think of Monty Python when I write that!

The close up of the castle is great, too. The tree and roots on the right in the foreground really help frame the castle and frozen lake.
