After decades of intending to put paintbrush to canvas I have finally started to paint on a regular basis and I'm loving it. I only wish I had started sooner. But at 45 (eeeeek!) I still (hopefully) have lots of years ahead of me to practice and improve. I'm learning something with every new piece.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words, encouragement and for faving these early attempts. I hope you will enjoy watching my progress!

There are so many things I want to paint now. There simply aren't enough hours in the day!

:D :boogie:

hey there, just read your list of things you lurve (is it meant to be spelled like that? i´m german and always keen on learning new specialties - anyway, i LURVE it like that, haha...) - many of those things i don´t know at all, but many i love the same...

as to immediate music: i play in an eight member live-session band and although our music is based on repeating patterns, the whole thing keeps being spontaneous - if you are interested, just note me your e-mail, and i send you a live recording of our last gig (cd-release party of our third cd) - we were lucky to have a brilliant mixer who felt challenged to mix us really good - that IS a task, because we have loads of acoustic instruments: kalimbas, hang drum, didge, tuba, melodica, ukulele, berimbao, cajon drums, percussion, as well as electric instruments like keybords, bass guitar a.s.o. - anyway, this guy made a good job and also made an eight track recording of that gig - i got a roughmix of that and i just listened to the opening tracks - they sound gorgeous... :D
so you were the one with the mirrors - i remember, that years ago i faved some of them, and i also made some shots of real mirrors to show you - but then i somehow lost your trace... :(
i´ll soon submit one of them, ok?

...and as to being already 45 (gulp!), i´m 59 now and i took up playing piano some four or five years ago (i had played before in my youth up to my mid twens) - after struggling for while to get into a flow again, i made loads of songs and can entertain people now for quite a while - just two weeks ago i had my first public appearance with that - gulp again, all alone on stage! yes, that´s a different thing, than playing with seven other guys - but it was ok, the people liked it, and i also felt nice with it...
since i moved to this small village almost eight years ago, i felt the wish of painting - i think a lot of ink will go down the river, before i actually do that, but i have it in mind, oh yessssss... :D

take a  from an old tree...
