Description

                                                                 I thought it might be fun to paint a self-portrait. I would
have liked to have painted from life, using a mirror, but I am
terribly short sighted and I didn't want to paint myself wearing
glasses! So I had to use a photo for reference.
 
I still need to add some finer details but it's not coming
along too badly. I still have a lot to learn where
skin tone and hair texture is concerned but I'm
learning with each new portrait. :)

I took this photo on a terribly dull day so the quality isn't great.

Very good portrait! The eyes, mouth and skin tones all work well!
